i actually don't, lol. lived in oklahoma for four years and met lots of people from the midwest, south, east coast and for the most part they were very pleasant and friendly. i was shocked to find that the whole southern hospitality was extended to me as well, in spite of my yellow skin. my bad experiences were mostly just high school.
that's what they all say, more people would have died. regardless, it is an atrocity. hiroshima was a purely civilian target. 200,000 people died a horrible, painful death and a lot of them were women and children. nagasaki was the same with another 70,000. it was considered a war crime even then but back in those days both sides committed war crimes without thinking twice about it. today you accidently bomb 1 civilian and you have to internationally apologize for it. food for thought. |

But i´m judging this by todays Standards. Back then both Sides commited terrible war crimes which should not be forgotten, otherwise terrible Things like that might happen again. Just my opinion

regardless, it is an atrocity. the ends never justify the means. they could have nuked baghdad and possibly less civilians would have died in the iraq war compared to what actually happened but that wouldn't make it right.
