What's your ethnicity and region?

I was wondering what are all your ethnic backgrounds and what US state/city/region (or foreign country) will you be driving this car? I'm expecting a good mix. ;) You can talk about what languages you speak (primary, secondary) or whatever else you think gives us an idea of your background. :D

I am Filipino with heavy Chinese and Spanish influence (evident in family names and how I look). US raised and English speaking. I am in the Midwest (Overland Park, KS) for now but if plans change my fallback *home* home is SoCal (San Diego).

Giccin 01-21-2012 12:27 AM

Japanese, French and 50% Vietnamese.

I can speak obviously English, Japanese, Vietnamese, VERY LIMITED Chinese and some Korean. Lol

In SoCal OC area.

I'm Thai 100% But I only lived in Thailand until I was about 10 after that I met my parents and was raised here on the East Coast. So I'm Asian American I suppose, I am a US citizen.

I speak Thai, English, Lao and Japanese I cannot read or write well in Japanese but I am able to speak as well as a 5th grader XD

I live in the Mid Atlantic DC area and Im not sure if I'll be driving the car around here or moving within the next year or two. The hope is that I get to go to grad school out west in California. Even though the funny thing is my field of study would be best if I stay in DC. oh well, I'm sorta in love with California.

cambo 01-21-2012 12:40 AM

I'm cambodian.

I speak English and semi-fluent Khmer.

I'll be driving it in SoCal, until I leave for college which might be in NorCal.

DommerEOD 01-21-2012 01:10 AM

Born and raised in OC, SoCal. Italian ancestry.

But, 100% American.

Am I the only white dude that's gonna crash the party? Mods feel free to delete my post if it's gonna ruin the Asian vibe :D

Guff 01-21-2012 04:10 AM

Lol, Indian/Pakistani dude here. Mom is Paki and Dad is Indian, but I was born in Ireland. Moved to Chicago at age 1 and have been in the states since!

I speak English, Urdu, and Spanish; and I can read+write Arabic and Farsi but I have trouble understanding it...

Lol always thought you were white with a name like "Guff." My best friend in high school was Pakistani, I shared a room w/ an Indian for 3 years in college, and Indians are always around me at all the places I've worked (many Indian food lunch breaks).

Full Chinese, from Bay Area. Speak English, used to be competent with Chinese (aka, you can't tell it's not my main language), but forgot all of it. I supposedly learned some Spanish in high school but...I couldn't understand it for my life -_-

However the probability that I'm still in the Bay by the time I get a car isn't very high, I kinda want to go somewhere else even though the weather will suck :/ NY/Boston would be awesome.
