here's a couple GoPro videos I made over the weekend, driving with a few of the other NorCal 86 owners on the local backroads...

yesterday morning we had a large turnout at the weekend meet 'n drive... about 12 FT86s total. 11 of them joined us for the drive. And that's not even counting my car, because I left it at home and took the MR2 instead...

We had another large meet this past weekend, to cruise down Hwy 1... we had 18 cars! Awesome representation of every FRS/BRZ color.
![]() ![]() here's a video I made recapping the Hwy 1 drive: [ame]http://youtu.be/Wi224mQCOnQ[/ame] anyways we had a lot of fun rolling 18 deep down the road and it was quite the spectacle for other drivers I'm sure. a few of us stopping for lunch after.

I finally got my new personalized license plate recently... was holding off on mounting my plate until it arrived (no sense in putting it on, taking it off etc.) Guess I have to start obeying traffic laws, stopping at redlights and paying bridge tolls.
![]() ![]() ![]() Not sure if I should keep the license plate frame or just go frameless. I also got an extra OEM tow hook from the local Toyota parts dept. and painted both of them red... plan to put these on when I do track days and I wanted them to be highly visible. so it's a hellafunctional mod. ![]() ![]() Also I got some more GrimmSpeed parts to put on... already had the front license plate mount but I also just got the master cylinder brace (MCB). Looking forward to putting that on and seeing if I can feel a difference in pedal firmness.

it's been a while since I updated my thread. Nothing really new with the car as of late, just been driving it a lot with the local guys and took it recently to Laguna Seca. Here is a shot coming down the famous Corkscrew, and a few others:

Once more I have nothing really new to report, other than having taken my BRZ on a 1200 mile round trip to Las Vegas to attend the 86EXPO and having a blast doing so. While there I met a lot of other 86 owners and created lots of great memories. Along the way also autoxed Stitch in the evening autox event which was lots of fun. Here is a great shot taken by the SoCal Valley 86 crew:
![]() Oh I guess I should mention that I used plasti dip and some masking tape to create new racing stripes along the bottom of the door. I'm not 100% happy with the angle I did on the driver side, but the passenger side seems good. This is what happens when you do this in the tight confines of a one car garage at night without being able to step back and look to see if something is straight. ![]() Anyways it's easy enough to peel off and redo so I will probably straighten the stripes out and redo them sometime. I do like the overall concept/look of them though. ![]() Also used a stencil to promote my new driving club website, 86DRIVE.com ![]()

Eibach springs installed!
My BRZ has sunk to a new low! Thanks to a set of Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs that is. Big shout out and thank you to 86DRIVE members @overlookedx @MyRx @RC51ed @Clipdat @BigFatFlip who helped me install the springs and also the Whiteline positive shift kit bushing.
![]() ![]() ![]() I am still getting used to the feel of the car with the stiffer springs and lower ride height but so far so good. I did feel like the car still understeers a bit on turn in with the tire pressures equal all around, so I adjusted to 36F/34R and it feels better now. Still running the stock tires so overall traction is not terribly high, but I do feel like body roll has been reduced and the cornering stability is a little bit improved. My biggest concern is that a lot of the local backroads I like to drive on are on the bumpy side, and the Eibachs seem to make the car a little more unsettled if I hit a bump in mid-corner due to the increased stiffness. On smooth roads though I do feel there is an improvement. Stay tuned, more driving is needed.

That looks badass with that fog in the background. Glad to hear you're enjoying the springs. Hope you remembered to torque your lug nuts!

Beautiful pics and progress. Do you recall what % tint you have? My WRB BRZ gets delivered in the next two weeks.
