Thankfully I have been doing all of my oil changes at a Toyota AND at intervals of 8000 km. For 2016 they for some reason upped the oil change interval from 8000 to 16000 km. Seeing as how the engine is no different from even a 2013, I said F that and do mine every 8. Some of the techs look at me funny, but hey I had a similar situation with my last car (2012 Jetta, tranny blew at 145k km and dealer blamed it on none OEM floormats...) so I am definitely not risking it again.
