Hi Calum,

I sent you an email on August 15th 2014. Please check your spam, as it has the latest version 5.33 and the evap codes are all active.

I am resending, but please check your spam and make sure my emails are not going into them.

I got that email. My concern is that while running that file the car idles at 2500 rpm on cold starts.

Hi,

OK, everyone starting immediately unless specifically told in your order, all check engine lights stay ON. I tried to be helpful and all it has done if cause more problems on our end. I will make a note on the website as such.

As for your tune, your current tune as I reviewed it has the EVAP codes active which was sent to you in August.

We can try playing around with getting to idle smoother, I assume when the load gets heavy is when it dips. Correct?

But we would need to charge a service to adjust it. Or if you want to come by the shop we can see about dialing it in person.

P0452 and P0453 codes.

I have a tune from a different vendor that shows EVAP as ready, in my current configuration with AEM connected to that wire, just need to get that on your tune.
Hi,

I just checked your tune and it has everything active with respect to the EVAP codes as it should be from the factory. It looks as though we did shut off a couple other codes though that relate to Mass Air Flow Limits but that is about it. I am not sure how that would affect it.

Are you sure you are on the latest tune with the EVAP codes active? I will resend the email I sent on Sept 8th.

Cheers,

Yep that's the same tune I ran and threw those codes. I have the aem wideband analog signal wire connected to the rear evap sensor, which is why those codes are being flagged. Custom map O result.

I can't connect the wideband to the rear o2 input because I have flex fuel connected to that input.

Same car, same setup, your newest tune you resent vs other tune from someone else. As soon as I fire up the car it throws evap codes high low voltage. Which makes sense because there is no evap voltage, its the ethanol sensor voltage and the car is like wtf.

I will try the tune you just sent me and report back. Maybe the logic for the evap needs to be adjusted so any voltage is in the normal range? Maybe that's how the other tuner does it?

The tune was throwing check engine lights for P0452 and P0453?

OK, understand now. Sorry I usually just shut off all the evap codes (14 in total) for FlexFuel as we have seen that down the road (1000 miles or more) you can possibly get other evap codes, such as P0451 or any of the other 11 evap codes.

In total there are 14 different codes, as we shut them all off because of the situations we have seen above. Rare but they happen.

Awesome! Sorry for being such a pain in the ass, I had no idea there were so many codes. My setup is definitely one of a kind which makes it annoying. I will flash this new tune and report back!

Well thank you for being patient, and same goes to everyone else. Thank you.

Things are bit stressful with the new baby arriving tomorrow. And basically I will be our of commission for the week. So I am trying to get whatever I can wrapped up before then.

When we return, we will have a lot of new stuff.

1. FlexFuel Kit Release (Coming SEMA 2014)
2. Android Head Units (for custom spec Delicious Android gauges)
3. Flash and Go Updates
4. Supercharged Stroller

Cheers,
William Knose

What's the chances of things like time alignment and active crossovers in that android head unit? Something like that might get me to finally finish my stereo install.

Well I thought we finally had it. Flashed the tune, no codes. Evap will still not go to ready. Turned the car off and on again, P1449 code (evap) came up. Cleared the code, didn't come back, Evap still won't go to ready. Now I've got a constant P1449 CEL.

I mean if we can't get this fixed, I guess I can take my glove box out, unplug my harness, go pass inspection, and then plug it back in. It's just those connectors are a bitch to get to.

We'll figure something out, I don't need to pass inspection soon so I'm not in a rush.

Hope the baby and mom are doing good!

I decided to say screw it, I took the harness out and now evap is hooked up as if stock. The latest tune you gave me does not go to ready, but I think the tune before that will work just fine. I will test it and report the all clear. It just kind of sucks because I paid for the work so I could log my wideband in ecutek. But if I have to rip that thing out every time I need to pass inspection it just isn't worth it.
