2015 Mustang First Reviews

The Ecoboost Mustangs are also grazing high 12s/low 13s with just preliminary tunes from a couple of shops. With a whole set of bolt ons even the stock 5.0s would see tail lights. Most of the weight comes from the redesigned interior and suspension. For 25 grand, the Ecoboost is a hard car to pass up for the value.

Wasn't that on drag radials? Would be interesting to see what it'd do on stock tires.

The Ecoboost is a good value, but I'd rather take the 5.0 V8 for the engine note alone. There's more to life for me than 1/4 mile passes.

I believe it was. Some cars have hit 13.9 right off the lot. That engine in the EcoStang is just sonically terrible. Not a good sounding engine at all. I'm just not sure if it's so bad as to justify spending an extra 6 grand for the V8.

Or stick with the V6 saving the money, sounds better than the EcoStang, and could be modded with the 6K you saved.

Nice ninja edit to tone it down.

Yes, FR-S owners are allowed to form opinions about non-FR-S'

I'd get the Ecoboost....then sell the engine to some tuners and do an LS swap .

I thought it flowed better, but I changed it back for you.

I'm not saying people can't complain, but it's pretty funny considering the only sound you hear from our cars is crickets.

Don't own one. I'm simply in the market. That's why I'm here.

As for the Mustang, if one were planning a track monster with no real ceiling on money, the V6 is the easy choice. That motor is no joke: aluminum block, forged crank, six bolt main.... May take you at least 10 grand to realize that motors full potential.

But for someone who's just going to lightly modify something, it's always hard to go against the bang for the buck of a turbo. 1500 bucks will go a lot farther in the EcoStang than the V6

For a track monster Mustang, the V8 is the only choice. The aftermarket support is fantastic.

worse than a sound tube IMO...
I wonder how is that going to make drivers feel when the sound starts to break up like cinema theater speaker system gone haywire...

Seems like they blew it. Originally, everyone was expecting a lighter, better handling Mustang and it didn't happen. I'm sure it's still a blast to drive but I was expecting more.
HERE is another review which recently popped up from Edmunds.
