its actually not that bad... especially with the 6 inch screen.. the small leds get overwhelmed in brightness anyway...

The concerns I have tho are:

Phone quality

Obviously the led's

Touchscreen I've seen mixed emotions

Overall interface, is it a solid android interface?

I think I'll hold off until a more refined android unit comes out

My tun21a took 10 days.
Mine was ordered on May,27 and yday left HK with DHL for Europe. I think for Europe it takes 3/4 days with DHL Express. Tradesolutions dispatches items weekly on Monday for Europe.

As they say - if you wait for perfection you'll be waiting a very long time!

Can't see the main stream manufacturers "unlocking" their systems as much as the knock-offs. I can understand their issue. If users download apps that cause the head unit to run like a dog they'll say the HU is awful rather than looking at the cause. They are therefore all limiting it their own approved apps.

Went away last weekend and the Sygic Nav, music player and carscope dials for my track day were fantastic. No regrets here! Brilliant.

Phone quality is fine. I finally used Bluetooth to make a call while I had the windows down. I could hear the other person and they could hear me.

LED's, yea I'm with you there.

Touchscreen, as long as you have the capacitive, it's great. The resistive is the same as any other Pioneer/Kenwood/Stock unit.

You're going to be waiting a while. I'm all for supporting the early units. It shows the manufacturers that there is a market. They will then start competing by offering better and better units!

I know I've been singing this for a while, but I really am working on an interface. My life has been rather hectic for a while.

There is a capacitive version also?

Is the mic external or on the actual headunit

Maybe I'll consider it, worse comes to worse I can sell it

Does anyone in ny/nj have one? I would really like to check it out

TUN21A is the capacitive universal double din one, T7019A is the capacitive OEM fit for the 86.

Mic is in the front of the head unit. Not external.

Just remember, to run torque or carscope you'll need to root it using the files 2forme has on post 1 of this thread.

T7019A is plug and play in the 86 and fits perfectly and is ideal for people like me that aren't used to fitting this stuff.

The TUN21A requires a wiring kit and mount kit but has the advantage of skip track up and down buttons rather than using the touch screen. As 2forme said bot have capacitive touch screens that are pretty good.

Yep, couldn't agree more - they are fast.

And DHL is excellent - much better than the others for international - only took 5 days from post to arriving at my office in New Zealand even after going through customs.
