Right on - thanks man. So the VSS lead is ignored on the harness as well? I have an inline switch wired in right now for the stock Subaru HU in addition to the grounded parking brake lead.

Correct. VSS is useless.

For those who have the TUN21A what's the pre output voltage? I'm planning to have a decent sound system and is hoping that this head unit would be able to provide a better output voltage than the stock head unit.

Need to check on that, what I can say from an untrained ear is... without any other mods, Tun21A sounds much better than the stock unit we get here in oz (which looked straight from the 80s)

Google music app has been updated a few times since my last post. The latest update no longer causes a bunch of force close errors.

Does the 7019a have USB input to accommodate a direct ecu connection vs Bluetooth? I would rather have a direct connection to reduce input lag but nice to know torque with Bluetooth works as a fallback.

I use Torque via Bluetooth on my Android phone and it works like a charm.

However the gauges update rate could drop if you use a lot of them at the same time. For general use (+-6 live data gauges) I don't notice any hick ups... Maybe if you display +10 or so live gauges it might suffer delays, but there isn't really any need for +10 gauges... (unless you wanne own the Fast & Furious scene by displaying data that is only for show...)

TIP: if you are going the Android OBD2/bluetooth way, you may consider buying an OBD2 adapter that comes with an on/off switch.
That way you can easily push the power button on the OBD2 connector knowing it won't drain your battery when staying connected in the OBD2 port on your car. Here is the link of the one I bought: http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/MINI-ELM...item2c6b0e006a

Hey guys, I'm going through this whole thread trying to sort out which unit to go for. From my understanding the best oem fit option is the T7019A? This will fit without a dash kit or wiring harness.

Does it have 3preouts for front/rear/sub amps?

I have the elm327 obd adapter, is the stock blue tooth okay or I've seen some people using use blue tooth adapters? Is this just for faster scan rates or what?

Where are you guys getting the best price, eBay?

Thanks!

Stock bluetooth is ok. Seperate bluetooth adapter may be used on tablets or laptops that come without bluetooth. My OBD2 connector also came with a seperate bluetooth, but I don't use it as the bluetooth on my smartphone does an excellent job.
