I don't know what the toe/camber links are actually called. That's just a descriptive name I use for them. There are short links on the rear suspension that changes the toe angle based on how compressed or extended the suspension is. The result is, a rear end that turns when it leans. It points the wheels to the outside of a corner, helping to rotate the car. It also tends to turn the car a lot sharper than you intend as soon as the weight shift starts causing body lean. I knew it was there, but this is the first time it was causing me to over-correct in a corner. The softer rear springs of the BRZ are inducing oversteer by increasing body roll, which makes the toe rods change the direction the rear tires are pointing. I'd rather have predictable understeer than unpredictable oversteer.

I am not familiar with steer on the rear of these cars. Could you point me in the direction of where I'd get more information?

I think you should look at the rear suspension a little closer.

first you need anti-reversion headers so you have have all that torque down low at 2k rpm/20mph
second you need frs springs in the front and brz in the rear, make sure your tow rods are set correctly.

If you all figure out how to make my '13 FRS ride less harshly, let me know.

In my '95 M3 I know the road is not completely smooth, but the 2-3mm bumps are smoothed just enough they don't get annoying. In the FRS I swear I could feel driving over a penny.

That is unnecessarily harsh for a street car.

And PLEASE don't tell me BMW doesn't know anything about suspension design.

Are you still on the stock tires? I have 3 sets of tires I've tried, all sized 215/45/17. Les Schwab studless performance, Michelin Primacy, (stock), and Michelin PSS2. The PSS2's have very firm sidewalls and don't soak up the bumps. The best riding FR-S I've driven had stock suspension and 225/45/15 performance all-season tires. It rode better than my wife's 2011 Corolla. He had groceries in the trunk, so I couldn't really pitch it into the roundabout's without scrambling some eggs, if you know what I mean. That's what really blew my mind. All this guy did to his FR-S to get a better ride was get a slightly bigger set of tires. You already have FR-S suspension, so you're halfway there. I will be mounting my Bilstein HD shocks with FR-S springs this weekend. I want to try using the tophats from my HKS struts because they soak up more vibration and have camber adjustment in front. I won't know till next week, but I think your best ride is with the FR-S spring rates of 2.7 N/mm front to 3.7 N/mm rear.

It's why I'm not planning to touch the suspension on this car. People say it has a wheel gap...i don't really think so...it's already so low and looks good. Also when a car is lowered you lose a lot o the fun factor unless your on a race track.

Only thing i may consider in the future is TRD springs
TRD Springs on stock struts will feel hard (supposedly they're the same as Eibach Pro-Kit which is firmer than stock). If you want more comfort, choose either a slightly softer but not too low spring (like "RS*R Down Sus" (not "Superdowns" unless you change the bump stops too) or go with a softly sprung coil like ST Coilovers, or RS*R Black-i or Sports-i.
