For the guys who see track days a few times a year, or the guys needing traction on brokent pavement, the stiff spring rates of the more expensive "race" setups can be too stiff.

I see how everyone here needs to whip out their e-peen, like everyone here is a TA competitor.

Look, most of the guys here are going to see the track... very rarely. Though having a nice expensive coilover setup is nice for track excursions, it may be too stiff for the guys who actually plan to daily the car with limited track use.
