But as you can see in the photo it looks just it senses one cylinder and i guess in the inside the "walls" of the particular short runner are somehow blocking the gasses from the other 3? Hope i m wrong of course.

The best option would be that the primary 02 sensor was placed in a position downstream of the collector amd before any cats. However thats not the situation with the vast majority of headers and even the ones that provided that locarion like the ft86speed factpry header photo previous page , it would require the user to add an extention to the primary 02 wiring.

Real world almost no one does this their are many thousands of people round the world with the primary o2 in single runner as thats the cards your dealt when you buy aftermarket header in most cases.

Is it ideal no.

Most headers manufacturers prefer to bolt the first O2 in the most lean cylinder, the one that is last in fuel delivery, at least this was the rule in STI/WRX headers but I guess still applies!

in my post, the one that made you create this thread, i was referring to Wayne Rom v111.2 AVCS
a rom that is of 2 years ago

i have no idea how Wayne has evolved his cam setting in the last releases, since they aren't posted in this forum for free like they were in the past anymore, but i first answered in that particul thread ( http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...18#post3088018 )just because the AVCS that guy posted, looks identical to the AVCS on the v111.2 i m using

I'm still sorry I created confusion
I still like his cam settings on that v111.2 even if I think they make you consume more fuel, and they make your exhaust lightly pop randomly

Hey Tomm, Don't have be worried. I felt bad if I have caused you this, without any intention. You just shared your own experience. I just happened to pick up the wrong interpretation of it. And I am clear now.

Anyway, what is the latest version on Wayne Rom?
How have the AVCS tables been changed over these revisions?

so i just got a catless uel header for my brz. im basically straight pipe besides the resonated midpipe. with these new headers, i have not tuned it, will there be more fuel consumption? i feel like its draining my gas faster than usual but maybe im just noticing things in my mind. i do plan to tune as soon as i can tho

Pre tune: I was at 9.2 ltrs per 100 km with OEM header with punched out cats running around 115kwatw (154hp) on a chassis DD dyno. Usage avarage taken over 5000km

Post Ecutek tune: 8.8 ltrs per 100 km, same setup, around 145kwatw (198hp) same DD dyno, average taken over 2000km.

Typical driving conditions, daily thrashing around and weekend country drives.

In saying that, every single person will have a slightly different tune, different parts, different driving styles, different climatic conditions......and other stuff which makes comparing other peoples fuel consumption pointless.

And that is the opposite of what you are saying.. But if you think it is bettter to put the front sensor on the single runner (on my hks uel header it is on a short runner) i could try it..

Now i have the front sensor near the overpipe and actuallt my closed loop feels not so smooth, the acceleration with low throttle feels sluggish and not regular
Do you happen to have the instructions translated in English? I just got mine but its in Japanese.

you just have to put the first lambda sensor, the one with grey connector, connected to the extension provided, and you have to put it in the last hole, near the exit

the second lambda with black connector, to the first hole on the single runner

Stock i was at 27.5mpg avg. After full bolt ons / custom tune it dropped to 23mpg. A 4.5mpg / 20% drop. Subsequently my right foot also got 20% heavier at the same time. Was it the header/tune or my right foot that caused my avg mpg to drop. Guess I’ll never know. Also after adding a supercharger it dropped to 18mpg and now with E40-45 I’m at 15mpg. Coincidentally my right foot has been completely replaced by a led brick.
