Drilled Alloys Safe or Scrap?

Hello,

I came across your forum which discussed in wonderful specific detail the issue I am facing. I would be very grateful if you could cast an eye on this similar situation.

PCD & Bore identical however:

The M12 lug holes have been drilled out to a whopping 19.44mm internal diameter. My vehicle is M14 so the lug hole is still too over sized to be safe?

Too much of the original wheel's M12 taper seat inserts have been drilled out to be safe i.e. the new M14 taper lug nut will not seat properly?

Therefore scrap Full Stop?

This is fine by me but before doing so I would like to eliminate the possibility of a safe verdict perhaps with modification suggestions.

Your article discusses / answers the M12 taper seat to M14 taper lug nut scenario.
Aftermarket alloys made to M14 spec to suit both so M12 lug bolts dwarfed by m14 lug hole anyway?
Steel wheel taper seat contact is much smaller.
19.44mm leaves an over size gap for M14 lug bolts, but that's all it is, a bigger gap?

All contributions gratefully received.

Thank you.
