But.. that's not at all what he's actually thinking, because heaven forbid that a person's words could be interpreted in anything but the thoughts not actually written down.

He's dismissing the high performance tires, because obviously they'll just freeze over

and he's dismissing the snow tires, because obviously they'll melt

so I say leave him be in his quest to find this magical, low temperature tire that's a snow tire but not a snow tire with deceptively high performance qualities

gnomesane?

at this point it's rather comical

There you go again, attributing your words and thoughts to someone else who did not say or think what you stated.
I asked a simple question which some obviously didn't read, got pontification, so I asked again trying to be clearer, but that led to more pontification.

What's wrong with trying to find a tire with more performance in the temperature performance gap between winter and summer tires ?
If it doesn't exist fine, it didn't last time I looked, but technology changes.

There are people who pontificate on how smart they are,
There are people who don't know the answer to a question so they ridicule it as invalid,
Then there are those who genuinely offer helpful info. And I appreciate those posts.
Unfortunately some vexatious personalities gum up the works, but that's normal for this and other intraweb forums nowadays (seems to be more rampant amongst Canadians than American forums). Not a big deal just a waste of reading time.

Seems that the SUBERMAN types are still here, no, maybe not , he was funny, not boring.
I doubt the helpful people will chime in now, so you SUBERMAN personalities are welcome to the last word - that's what the iggy button is for.

Have you tried playing with pressures? I had zero issues with mine in cold temps, same with RS3's which are known for needing more heat.

I think the solution is going to be in tweaking what you have, not trying to re-invent the wheel.
