I'm putting on my tight pants and thick rimmed glasses on right now. Yes, the majority are lemmings.

Lol, it's like half the responders to this thread didn't even read that part. "I'm entitled to my opinion, therefore I MUST express it!"

Back on topic: recognition is always due when someone takes the time to make a detailed DIY, regardless of what it's for. I too wanna see those doors open straight up, though

Thanks so much for this! I hope to get these on my car one day if I can ever get that sort of extra cash laying around that I can justify for a cosmetic mod.

I think vertical doors look blatantly tacked-on and bad on cars with shorter doors like a Prius, etc., but on a car like ours that has long doors it looks great! Not to mention I'm sure it would actually help some since the longer doors make it a huge pita to get out of the car without kicking, scraping, or scuffing something (and I'm a small person).

Great write up and awesome finished product!

Unlike other cars, this probably actually makes it easier to get out of the FRS...

Great job on the FRS, and while the rims aren't my style very very clean car

When it hails and I need to wedge the BRZ into the garage , I can only open the door enough to barely squeeze my fat ass out....

Did you not watch the video? You still have to open the door the whole way open before you can raise it.

I'd really like to do this maybe one day, but only if they would not open so wide so that i CAN get out of the car easier w/o opening the door so wide and just raising it up.

Maybe one day...

You know what they say about big feet? You kick the door when you try to get out of your car

The whole way? Or just enough to clear the post? I'm curious. I find it hard to get out of the car without kicking the door or sill when I park in my garage... wife's Audi is wide and she parks 'generously'

#firstworldproblems

If I could open the doors normally still, I'd probably get this and only use the vertical part when I'm inside my garage lol

Excellent write up! I was curious to see how the vertical doors would have looked on one of the twins. Did you have any concerns about the frameless windows hitting the side of the car? I remember when I had the kit on my 06 SI that sometimes people wouldn't push the door down the entire way prior to closing and the door would bang the frame of the car.

BTW, here's the SI with the doors. I miss having them, and might have to do this eventually. Cheers again to yours!
