Good to hear you got it working.

I am still trying to figure out my tactrix and I am wary of using it until the precedure is well documented. I dont want to brick my DD.

Here is the link about fixing a bricked ECU for future ref:

This sounds very similar to the problem I am having... only I am sitting in the car at work when I should have left to go home... I feel your pain everything went fine but now nothing.

Do you remember anything they did to gain access to this recovery mode?

Had to get on the phone with ECUtek early in the morning, they remoted into my computer, installed custom recovery software, then flash my ecu back to a previous map. The problem seemed to have been caused by a corrupt/bad map.

It's there anything anywhere showing what a good port looks like? Mine flashes with OFT just fine but no dongles can connect to ecu. Maybe different devices use different pins?

I think it more the thickness/length of the pins on cables, the OFT cable I never have problems with always provides a good connection.

however my tactrix is flakey when plugged directly into obd port on car. solved it by buying 1 metre obd extension cable, leave that plugged in permanently and its tucked in near seatbelt, just plug my devices in the other end and no further problems

Hmm reason I returned extension was that oft would fail when flashing. I bought a flat cable from Amazon.....

bought one of these or similar 90 degree plug keeps it out of way

use it for OFT and tactrix flashes ok and logs with tactrix at 10 cycles per second with 20 parameters ok.
