Ecutek Corrupt ECU, Bad Flash, Can i reset?

So just wondering, has anyone ever got a bad flash, hung flash, etc....with @EcuTek , if so how do they fix their ecu?

Reason i ask.

recently flashed my ecu back to stock and trying to flash it with a new tune, etc...was going fine, on the part where it says, turn off ignition, i do that, then it says turn on ignition. I do that. and nothing.....it just hung up. normally you get the success message and such, but this time it did nothing.....

Now my car wont start.....it turns on and looks normal, but wont actually even try to start, just turns back off.

If i try to detect the vehicle with the software, it says the obd request failed. I can manually pick the vehicle. then when i try to program it gives me the no obd request error again. Here is a screenshot showing it....

Any ideas? Anyone? And because i know it will be asked, i have the most recent software, i have tried resetting both my computer, adn turned the car on and off, unplugged all dongles, obd cabls, etc.. and replugged.

ur flash didn't go thru because maybe ur cable wasn't plug correctly or you moved it

That the thing, cant flash again, it wont even connect to the ecu now...

"No response to OBD Request"

So cant flash, read dtc, start car, etc....

Trying to see if there is a way to reset the ecu..

I am thinking and hoping that with all the number of people and tuners on here that flash ecus, this has happened before, and there has to be a way to reset the ecu.....

thanks for the help though.

Maybe a bad connection, try wiggling the OBDII plug or putting pressure on it while flashing... I remember hearing something about our OBDII plug/pins getting bent easily and having poor connection

Make sure obd2 is plugged in property

Select the car manually

And then try flashing it

Make sure your battery is good - I had a similar issue one time and it turned out I had a bum battery and it didn't have enough cranking power to turn the motor over after a flash.

Yeah, checked that. 12.6

I also put on a charger to be safe/sure, still no luck.

Manually Select
Choose Rom
Query ECU
program ECU

Thanks....but no luck...Anything i try...same error..

"No response to OBD request"

Just seems like the software and ECU are not communicating. I tried pressing in the cable harder, wiggle it, etc...Cant see how that could go bad....but who knows.

Really hoping @EcuTek will have some ideas.

u might need a new license then

I believe its something with the ecu....bricked im guessing.

I have torque and a tablet with a bluetooth elm device, tried that, and it cant connect to eh ecu either, so just seems like the ecu is dead...

this happen to me once. disconnect black cable(negative) from the battery. ull need a 10mm wrench. Let the car sit for like 5 mins and hook it back up. make sure ecutek cable is plugged in correctly and try it again. I had the same problem one time and this worked for me. Good luck
