So i went the extra mile and cut the brackets in the rear and mounted 6x9s. But they seem to only receive mid and high frequency. Any help here??

There are still wired to the oem head unit.Just wondering of there is something inline on the speaker wire filtering out the bass

This will limit bass to the door speakers which may not be a bad thing since some people have complained about their doors rattling. Then I would wire the rear speakers up to the front channel where the door speakers were. Doing it this way you would supply full range to the 4 dash speakers and the rear speakers. The rear channels would power the door and limit the bass to them. Your fader wouldn't fade from front to rear anymore but you could still balance the system by attenuating the amp to the rear until the speakers blend.
