Speaker upgrades

I was wondering who has gone midbass in the doors vs. who has gone ful range 6 1/2 in the doors? Also, I am planning on doing some good tweets and 4" speakers n the dash, but didnt know how powerful the door speakers were when replaced. I have a JL 4 channel I was going to use to run the 4' and tweets but my just run the doors if it works better that way.

Thanks for reading.

I'm going with just a two way, 6.5" on doors and tweets on the dash.
Simple , clean and powerful .

I wanted higher sound stage so I'm running 2 way 4in infinity Kappa's in the dash and JBL 2 way 6.5 in the doors. with 12in tube JBL Sub. Who care's for rear speakers.

P.S - I would recommend changing the headunit first, since I was testing and noticed a big difference on stock speakers between stock and aftermarket headunit.

I have a pretty decent Kenwood in dash. Does anyone know if the factory mic has a male connector or something funky? I'm thinking forget rears or just leave them powered by my deck. I like 6.5's in the door and good tweets. I just wonder if 3.5s in dash would be worth it as well?

I stayed with the stock deck to just power the rears... so I'd suggest that as well.
Added a JL Audio XD400/4 to power a set of C2 650s & bridged the other two channels to a small box with an 8" Alpine Type R sub.
Absolutely loving this combo.

I wanted to leave myself an easy deck upgrade; I have a JVC navi deck ready to pop in there as soon as I receive all the little accessories!

I have a powered JBL 10" enclosure but plan on swapping to something like this later. I'm a big JBL guy so i'm looking at their GTO804EZ powering the MS62 components and a single MS10 subwoofer.

JBL is awesome, i had an older Power 10" in my 240sx in a custom fiberglass box and it was amazing for a 10" on 325 watts. Their newer stuff is nice too and well priced, i wish i could get JL but i don't think its worth double the price.

There is a place in atlanta. www.soundsensationsauto.com/

They were selling brand new JL 500/1 amps for $150. And this is a reputable place. They do a lot of stereo's for famous folks here in atlanta. A lot of the atlanta hawks basketball team. Ludacris. Outkast... a bunch of people. Not sure if they ship, but check em out.

Im running Hertz components, 6.5" in the doors and 3.5 and tweet in the pillar. It sounds reasonably well and has good height and such.

thats kinda misleading.... they are selling the discontinued jx 500/1. not the slash series 500/1. the jx is an ok amp but its not really a crazy deal its normally 200$.
