Those coupes come with more standard features than the base hubcapped 4 door sedans so that's why they cost just a tad more, that and being niche model off the base 4 door.

This car is not off an existing model and is in a class of it's own, in Scion's and Subaru's line up but taking your figure for the mid size coupe of $1500-2500, that on top of tC price is fine with me that would only be $20.5-21.5k starting. I'm saying only because I'm prepared to pay $27k for a well packaged turbo model of this car.

Same, if it performs well, I'd be more than willing to shell out the extra cash. A turbo model probably won't be out th first year, but maybe sometime in the future they might consider one.

and a fully loaded model (assuming it stays toyota and not a scion), will be around $26,000

If it goes to scion, then the price can really get ridiculous, as individual parts from the dealer will be EXPENSIVE.

For example with the Scion tC, if you wanted the Supercharger, LSD, and lip kit from the factory, you would have to pay..

$3200 - Supercharger
$800 - install
$1200 - LSD
$1000 - install
$1000 - lip kit

Thats an extra $7200 plus tax, for a car that costs $17,760. Thats $25k.

And still not fully loaded.

Want coilovers? Add another $1,000
BBK? $1000
Sway bar? $200
Short shifter? $300
Navigation? $1500
18" Wheels? $1300

Thats another $5000

Who the hell in their right mind would pay 30K for a fully loaded scion? Not I. This is where Scion fails.
thats just performance mods.

This will be done like Toyota though - you will have option packages from factory, for instance that factory kit (Scions have no factory options usually) that was tested also had xenons installed.

I think this will have 22-24k base with 3k-10k extra factory options for luxury, not just performance mods.
