i add my alarm as an option just for peace of mind. Yea ppl still use alarms u try to open a car that dosent belong to u, and the alarm goes off ppl are looking to see where is that noise coming from, why is it making the news, etc. It gets ppls attention, yea u can say we have adapted to it, but the alarm itself is there to catch everyone around the alarms attention.

Best security ive ever had is installing a fuel pump cut-off switch. You have to flip it to complete the fuel pump circuit to turn on or off and is a requirement on the track.
You can make it as incognito as you want but a thief won't find it let alone realize whats going on unless you have it labeled.

No one pays attention to car alarms anymore, they hear it and they just get annoyed and wish someone didnt bump into an alarmed car and hope it will go off soon.
My first car had an alarm and was stolen right out of my apt parking complex :/ If a thief wants your car, there gonna take it. I did get a lowjack in my car as I have realized beyond the immobilizer the alarm is useless and lowjack is the best chance to getting my car back. And I also dont keep any valuables in my car. |

I had a Compustar two way with drone mobile in my old base frs. I agree with most on here that the alarm is mostly an annoyance for those around. That's why mine was a silent alarm with a two way paging system. The sirens won't go off but my alarm pager will still beep.
The drone mobile worked as a gps system. Alarms alerts was sent to my phone via text and drone mobile app. The system also has gps tracking. I would know where my car is from my phone and I could lock/unlock, start my car from my phone or drone mobile website. (A great feature incase I locked my keys in the car by accident). Gonna get the same system for my monogram. But it is alittle on the pricy side. $1k+ and there is a yearly subscription for the drone mobile. |

LoJack Early Warning is the way to go. Like people said, if they want your car, they will take it. The Early Warning system comes with a chip that goes on your keychain. If your car is lifted off the ground or moves without that keychain chip in the vehicle, you will be alerted via text, phone, email, etc. Plus it comes with LoJack's "recover your vehicle in 24 hrs" guarantee.

Only the Monogram/BRZ Limited have the alarm described above.

Have you read the thread? There's been no update since the last posting on dealer options, if that's what you were asking.

Please forgive me. I have read this thread and I'm little confused. I have a Monogram FRS and was under the impression it has an alarm. It unlocks when I touch it. I tried to lock it before with the FOB inside and it beeps and won't lock. I did the same thing with the trunk. It won't lock and beeps if it is in the trunk. I see a red alarm light flashing when the car is locked. I love the FOB feature because I carry a messenger bag with me all the time and sometime I can't find my key and I just but bag on and if the car opens I know it is somewhere in the bag.
So does the car have an alarm? I don't feel like kicking it is the best way to find out.

Just tried this on my Monogram, it works. Quote:
The Monogram does have an alarm. You just have to turn it on, it comes off by default. |
