Did my first AutoX today wit BRZ! Soooo much fun! Didn't post any impressive times but had a blast tossing sliding the car around! It is super easy to drive and control! I was struggling with some noticeable understeer in very sharp corners. Really wanna try FRS and see the difference. Leo - what times did you post yesterday? I think we ran similar or may be even the same course. I did 69.380 the fastest I think. I forgot to turn TC in my last run and lost some time trying to turn it off while driving but only got it into Sport mode. Felt like I could have done 68.5 but ended up with 69.5.
The fastest was a GT3 with 57.8 and From non-Porsches -Lotus Elise with 58.5 I think.
Planning on going to 8/12 with MSNE @ Meadowlands.

I posted up a 67.5. I was super conservative as the car felt very slippery on the humid tarmac. I'll post up the video soon and you can check out if it was the same course. I'm dying to get some stickier rubber on the car. I think it should do well with stickier rubber.

I'm also not sure why PAX is all weird. There were multiple BRZ's on the course, all on stock tires but my PAX was different than the other BRZ's. Maybe you guys can help me figure it out.

Very nice!!! Yeah definitely post the video! Will be curious to see. Judging by the raw times it seems like you had little different course- I think only 4-5 cars today broke 60 sec mark today. And I think winning GT3 which ran today posted 54.xx time yesterday. Tires are definitely limitation but they are AWESOME in rain, too bad we finished right before rain arrived. Leaving the lot I did couple short drvies on totally wet lot with standing water and had to work to break car loose! but tires are great for sliding and tossing car around-not that it's fast way around!

Not sure which BRZ you were driving.. but here were the results for the BRZs:

87 9 RTRCS 8 Ciri xxx 2013 Subaru BRZ 68.536 *0.812175 55.663 0.067 9.103
92 10 NCS 1 Honam xxx 2013 Subaru BRZ 67.540 *0.833 56.260 0.195 9.700
112 10 RTRCS 1 Chad xxx 2013 Subaru brz 78.305 *0.812175 63.597 1.324 17.037

1 of the 3 BRZs was in Novice CStock with an index (or multiplier) of 0.833. The rest were registered in RTRCS with a multiplier of 0.812175. So your fastest raw time is multiplied by your class multiplier to get your PAX time.

Yesterday's course was faster by about 3secs. I wasn't happy on how I drove both days. Still working on my driving. Here's a video from yesterday.

None of you guys let Perry drive your car... big mistake IMO. Let him drive, sit in the passenger seat and pay attention. You may think you were going fast or the course was slippery, but when you watch him drive you'll realize that you were only going 6/10ths and he's going 10/10ths.

Who is Perry? It was my first time doing AutoX and I don't know many people there with few exceptions whom I met at the track events. I will be very interested in somebody very experienced driving my car once I have Solo timer to be able to compare where I am losing time. Yesterday I just wanted to have fun, times were essentially irrelevant to me. Goal was to learn what my new car is doing at the limit.

Are you Rich who instructed me yesterday?

right, but I guarantee that you were no where near the limit. Doing a ride along with Perry will show you where that limit is very quickly.

Perry is the organizer of the NNJR auto-x's.. He also runs the auto-x4u.com website. He co-drives a white Porsche GT3... I'm sure you saw it there.

Who said that they were driving their cars to the limit? Of course Perry is going to be faster. He's autocrossed since the late 80s. lol

The guy I quoted said it.. he said he wasn't interested in times, his goal was to learn what his car was doing at the limit.
