Thanks to @CSG Mike I'll just put off retirement for a little while longer and drive faster! Can't wait to get this on the track!

You are going to LOVE it!

CSG is a great shop to work with

Haha! You never said I had to be at cruising speeds and not stop & go traffic

On a side note, the temps are usually below 190 with normal driving (with a few hard pulls). It's a nice comfort knowing I won't have to deal with heat issues with this kit. ANOTHER WIN for Jackson Racing!

^ That's hotter than I've ever gotten the coolant on track with the kit on...

Hmmm... Maybe it's the stop and go traffic and never really getting any air flow through the front...

@CSG Mike , two questions....

any potential issues running the CARB tune with an aftermarket UEL catted header, specifically the FT86SpeedFactory catted UEL?

and can the JR oil cooler kit be ran without the JR SC kit?

The volumetric efficiency is altered, so you may have issues with the CARB tune. You have no torque dip with the SC anyways

The NA version of the oil cooler (different mounting solution) will be released soon.

Within the limitations of the factory sensors, yes.

looking at the pictures, it seems like I should be able to use OEM oil cooler with this kit unlike the KW kit , sandwich plate wouldn't fit in there.. I assume

Even if it could measure boost, I really wouldn't rely heavily on it.

I use my scan gauge as merely a "nice to generally know" where I'm at. I don't think it's 100% accurate, but gives me a good idea of where things are at...

It doesn't look like there is much room there...

The JR Oil Cooler is pretty hardcore and I'm impressed with the quality/fitment of it. The mounting points for both the rotrex and oil cooler are beautiful behind the intercooler. Even down to to JR logo

It seems like I should be able to fit the OEM cooler in there though
Not to bash the JR cooler kit but I would rather use the OEM cooler for the following reasons:
  • ability to utilize radiator for cooling so with the upgraded radiator the oil temps can be increased or decreased accordingly (thermostat radiator)
  • one less item in front of the IC
  • Cost

other than that JR cooler looks pretty good and I am pretty sure it does what it's supposed to do

It actually mounts behind the IC alongside the Rotrex cooler.
