Lmao.. It's a corolla , and a MR2.. Because for the life of me I never seen a old mr2 say AW11 or a corolla say ae86 on the badge in the back

I guess it's the I'm to cool to call it what it is thing.. I thought it was mainly a Honda thing since they don't wanna say I own a pos civic, instead it's I own a EK, EG and so on lol

Because it's too mainstream

Personally I prefer calling cars by their generation and name. 1st gen MR2, 3rd gen Carmy, etc etc.

To each their own though?

I guess I'm just old lol.. I'm the same way.. But like 90 MR2, or what ever.. I always call it by its year.. Guess I should just change what I drive and say it's a ZN6 and a type 1 for my bug

Umm, it just a way to differentiate models. Not sure why anyone would get their knickers in a twist.

SW20 and AW11 does that for the MR2.
It certainly isn't my problem that you didn't know.

I don't know why people want to refer to these cars as ZN6. What's so hard about calling it an FR-S/BRZ/GT86/86? We'll never know.

AT love it, but I wish I could do cool burnouts and better launches. :p
I still keep in mind that most new super cars are AT.

When you say Civic you're talking about over 20 years of different chassis. Enthusiasts call cars by their designated chassis code to better specify what it is they're talking about.

Jump on the Nissan or Toyota forums, especially where there is an enthusiast group for the older cars...

They all use chassis numbers and engine numbers. KE70, RA28, Z20, S13, S14, S15...

Then what about the Porsches? You just haven't been exposed much to it and attached a negative stigma to it because of the ricer crowd.

Just drove to hollywood this weekend again (among other places), and it was such a blast to drive.

I even stopped drinking early so I could drive my friend around in my fr-s, lol.

So happy I got the manual . In traffic I find it more entertaining than the auto.

It is cool that the auto is almost as fast as the m/t - auto tech has really gotten a lot better - but it just makes driving so much more fun.
