There is no such thing as a "USDM" BRZ. The only market that's domestic is Japan; everything else is an export market.

My european GT86 has a very similar FRS's VIN, but lots of stuff doesn't match.

reviving an old thread,

this is pretty cool, but a question/observation. My 11th digit is a 9. I have a Aozora/Series Blue BRZ, could it be that where they did the modifications to the select number counted as a different factory code?

Maybe someone else with a special edition could chime in? Would be interesting to see if special FR-S models also have a different code.

I also have a Series.Blue and have a 9 as the starting number in the last string of numbers. I read somewhere that the last 4 digits is the number out of the 1000 produced.
