I will bet you, right now, $20 that there is no 2015 power refresh

It's hard to beat the response of an NA engine.

However, if I had to choose, I'd prefer a supercharger over a turbo unless I could get a variable-vane turbo a la Porsche (which ain't happenin at this price point...).

I fully intended to replace my 05 MCS with a new one in 07 but the new model had a turbo instead of a supercharger which ruined the feel of the car (imo, obviously). In comparison, the 05/06 models were sublime. I kept mine and still enjoy it.

In the end, it's a question of balance and more torque or HP is not always better if the rest of the car isn't prepared for it. Thus begins the slippery slope.

They really want to keep up the momentums, so they study it internally as where, how, to produce the 86 convertible without Subaru helps.

Therefore, I have you all an Ultimate question.

If Toyota was to sell more of the 86. Would you buy.

1/ More Powerful 86.
2/ Convertible.
Power, convertible are for people going through mid life crisis.

All they have to do is bring in the Toyota 86 and half the people here would trade for it instantly. Sell that for two years until that new shiny thing market is saturated and then sell the gen 2. The engineering department is patting themselves on the back for getting the thing built, and the marketers are thinking "suckers".

Guys a thought? What about something like the C7's removable root. Open roading when you want, closed and sealed like a hardtop when you don't want open air. Its manual so the weight added should be almost none.

That's called a Targa top or T top.

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Targa_top"]Targa top - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

And cutting a hole in the roof is going to reduce rigidity unless you strengthen it (add weight). Yes less of an impact than a folding convertible but an impact nonetheless. They've already got a prototype convertible, a targa is just going to add development time, the current design is more likely.
