I plan on picking up an extra set of wheels since there seems to be a lot of them on the market. When I'm ready for tires, that will be the time to do it. I like brighter wheels as well. So at some point I'll be able to post a pic on WRB. might be a while tho.....

Painted silver on WRB BRZ:





I honestly don't recommend painting these yourself unless you are prepared for the upkeep.

Process: I started by sanding the wheels and then I used 2 coats of a light gray base coat filler primer then 2 coats of hyper silver and 2 coats of clear. It looked really good when it was done as you can see. Unfortunately, the corrosive dust from my track pads combined with a rainy track day destroyed them. This is how they look now:



It would probably be fine if you aren't tracking your car but be prepared to be painting them every year or two if you don't want them looking like garbage.
