Well, the GT-R was surprisingly easy to drive. For the insanity it delivers when you put it in R mode it's also a really easy to drive car when everything is set to 'comfort'. I could totally use it as a DD.

I have a 450whp car that I can never exploit and it's actually kind of frustrating to drive reserved almost all the time, aside from a few rare occasions or when I'm at the track. There's something to be said about a car you can "push" regularly, it's actually much more fun. I think once I sell my current ride, I might actually pick up an FRS! |

That is not where the fun is though. In the Track, atleast you know it when your GTR started to go Side Way, and Exit the Curve with Virtually No Impact Immediately, and that it is Ready for another one. In the Track is the only way to push your GTR to the limit, while BRZ or FT86 can be push to the limit in a Parking Lot Auto Cross LOL!!! The After-Math of an FT86 is easier to Digest than The Bills coming off the GTR right ? Quote:
GTR --- Gives your Confidence, and You know the Beast is asking for more....it makes you into a Beast BRZ----Gives you the Adrenaline Rush, a Lose Horse that You have to Control....it puts the Skills into you, Be the Driver Myself, in the track, I prefer being the beast, than being the Driver LOL |

Exactly! It's actually sort of annoying where I live in Montreal, Canada. The roads are not so great (a lot of season changes, freezing + thawing). So really, there aren't many places to even drive "spirited". That being said, something like an FRS/BRZ with a few mods, nice aftermarket exhaust note, that would be a blast.
I already know myself though, I'd have it built and turbo'd making it undriveable like my last car hahaha.... |

If I could I'd have two of these. I love this car. The joy of this car is in the turns, not the straight. |

I think the Z06, CaymanS and GT-R are fantastic cars (enough so to pay a good chunk of change to drive them on the track in Vegas) and would love to have one, if not all. They are still on my "must have one day" list along with the Viper. But, I think even if I had one (or all) of the above, I would still keep the FRS and drive it. For the price and for what it delivers, I am very happy with the car. And at any rate in the same fantasy world where I could afford a GT-R, Viper, CaymanS and Z06... I wouldn't need to trade my FR-S in... |

Driven a GTR locally near mountain area....... Here's what I got from it.
The car is stupid good. It literally drove itself, it felt like I wasn't even driving the car. I could take it around corners where I SHOULD be going off the cliff and dying, but the GTR is so good that it did completely fine where it shouldn't have been. On top of that being an auto, it felt even less engaging. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for the car, and I still want one later in life, but the car was TOO GOOD. |

Was my favorite thing to do.. Scared the crap out of people who never been in a vette before.. Endless torque at any rpm, tenacious grip that will distort your face on accel and corners.. All this ... Yet I prefer driving the FRS !! There is a purity about the FRS that is hard to beat.. It's more nimble and forgiving.. Less weight, narrow tires and wheels contribute to a one piece feel about the car that you don't get with fat tires and wide wheels. While I miss those blasts to 60 and the instant locomotive torque of the LS7.. The FRS makes up for it with its care free handling, nimbleness and it's one piece feel.. |

Agree, I eyeball C6Z prices every now and then. 505 hp / 3200 lbs stock, how can that not be appealing to someone as a track toy?

It does seem like the GT-Rs have gone downhill. Especially after seeing the video someone posted of a GT-R getting ripped in a street drag by somone in what seems to be lmost a stock FR-S. |
