@Cjymiller

were the nuts/bolts needed for this? i thought the self tapping screws would be enough. would too like to see an under body shot of the screws/bolts placement if possible.

thanks!

Here is a picture of the Nuts and bolts on the ends of my side skirts. Self tapping screws are used for all the mounting points in between.

As for the front lip, mine is fastened with all nuts and bolts (no self tapping screws), the same as show in the picture above. You must pre-drill all the holes and then tighten the nuts and bolts with wrenches. This is more difficult with the bumper on but I didn't want to run the risk of having a mis-fitting bumper upon reinstall.

thanks for the shots!

Technically yes. But here's a tip: only drill the front and back t use the bolts and use 3M automotive tape in between.

Correct. That is how I did it.

Definitely a good tip if you don't feel like putting a a few holes in the body. On the other hand, don't forget to consider that if you need to use a thick 3M adhesive tape, the gap will show on your side skirt.

Here's what mine looks like. It's a bit better now, as the waves that were caused by the screws have gone away completely now. You can't see the gap really from normal eye level. It could probably be improved by lining it up a bit better:

When you say waves, do you mean that tightening the screws caused the material to warp a little? And leaving it over time in the sun smoothed it out?

Correct, in my case actually, I get subtle waving on the side facing the sun in the summer. Outside of that, they're flat.

my set of skirts didn't come with bolts and only tapping screws. think it would make a difference if i used the tapping screws for the bolt points?

I had a couple screws that didn't want to hang on properly. Maybe because the metal is really thin there, and/or I did a poor job of installation (not unlikely). You could always pick up a set of 4 from the hardware store. I felt it was a bit cleaner, easier, and safer, but you certainly could use the screws.

We muscled the last few drill locations to ensure a good fit.
Do you think you can measure the height to the lip for me? Already lowered and need to know if I can clear my driveway. lol thanks in advance!
