The tried and proven way is a set of 2x4's or 2x6's... But the black rubber alternative looked more appealing to me.

Since the curb ramps could be intrusive on to a public, heavily used sidewalk, they all seem to present a tripping/insurance problem. During the test we were able to make it up and down the driveway without scraping if...I came to a complete stop when the wheels reached the point of starting to come up the driveway and I was at a precise angle. Although it could be done, there was no room for error, or snow and ice. Put as little as 1/2 inch of snow on the slope and you are guaranteed to slide down the last 2 feet, basically uncontrolled. The front lip of my WRX can attest to the lasting effects.

In a few months, I am going to look into a redesign of the slope. If I get it fixed, I am just hoping that at that time the local Subaru General Manager gives me the same offer..."Take it home for the weekend!"

Can you mount something like this on top of the car?



Would work for large pot holes, or even river crossings.

WOW! I though some of the driveways around my place were bad. You can't try it at an angle at all? You definetly need some remodeling or planks to get up that.
