I was thinking the same thing...
The tried and proven way is a set of 2x4's or 2x6's... But the black rubber alternative looked more appealing to me. Good luck! I will be ordering my 2014 soon and move back from overseas so I will make sure that my cars don't have this issue with the house we buy.

Can you mount something like this on top of the car?
Would work for large pot holes, or even river crossings.

WOW! I though some of the driveways around my place were bad. You can't try it at an angle at all? You definetly need some remodeling or planks to get up that.
