Well, as I said in my post, if you run some high camber as you just pointed out. Of course I may be wrong after some further research. It would work great on the track. And I did see someone ran wider tires with some more rolling of the fenders. But they do still stick out a bit with +35 wheels up front. In the rear I think they would tuck in nicely. But again, you are also talking about an 8 inch wheel vs. a 9 inch wheel. My reference was to 9 inch. I'm just concerned about the front.

I was just answering why the 8" width doesn't have the flat face

I didn't say anything about fitment.

9" wide wheel with +35 offset is going to poke up front on stock suspension, yeah.
but with springs/coilovers and some camber it'll fit fine

but if I wanted track wheels I'd go with the 17x8 personally
