Wheel Directory: WedsSport TC105N 17x8.0 +42

As the title says, WedsSport TC105n in a 17x8+42 square fitment. They're wrapped in 235/40-17 Yokohama Advan AD08 tires.

My camera has a tough time around twilight (both the time of day and the movies, but don't we all?) so these pics aren't all that great. I'll try to get more tomorrow before the sun goes down again.

These are Titanium Silver. I like the color a lot more than I thought I would. It's not as bright as a regular silver rim, so they look good on a black car.

The tires are HUGE. I'll be making another thread about the variances in tire sizing with pics HERE.

(Added by mod: wheel weight is 14.85 lbs each)

Some fitment pics,

Wow, the more I see 17's the more I like them on these cars. How much clearance do you have between the front tire and strut? Looks great BTW.

Thanks,
Rick

You know, I forgot to check. I'm sure it's plenty. There was no rubbing driving it in and out of my complex or doing Ses down the road to scrub the release agent off the tires.

Thanks. I took WAY longer than usual to settle on a wheel for this car and I wasn't sure I was going to like the color. But them more I look at them, the more I like them. I hope to get better pictures soon.

Those wheels look really nice and I like the color contrast of them.

7mm less clearance between strut and WHEEL. How close his tire is to the strut is another story, though. I can't calculate that.

You guys got me thinking about the clearance so I went out to check. I have plenty, I can fit my fingers between the tire and spring perch. No worries.

Thanks for sharing! I've been debating on these same ones or advan rz/rs's with a square or staggered setup. I don't want to change the balance of the car and being able to rotate tires are a huge plus, so I was leaning towards square. If going staggered 17x8 front and 17x8.5 or 9 rear, would it upset the balance much?

Did ya test full lock, both directions? Full droop? Full compression? Not that I'm concerned, just being thorough.

There's more to it than sticking your finger in it

Enough to notice at an AutoX, but not in daily driving.

Well it was at full lock when I checked it. If we're talking about strut clearance, that's not going to change with a Macpherson strut design.

If we're talking about fender clearance, I had it at full lock to pull into the spot where I took the photos and there was no rubbing. The tires should be fine. I think nearly full lock and full compression might come close to rubbing, but I don't have a good way to test that and I'll rarely if ever encounter a situation like that.
