When he presses the pedal down you see the top of the mechanism move from forward to backward changing the level point. I'm glad you got me to question what I observed as I missed lever action. Learned something new today.

Now mentally connect that with the torque felt by a camshaft either side of TDC.


Or the reactive force coming from a light switch.
