I was running Stage 1 with an OFT Tune. Switched over to a Gruppe S UEL header and ECU Tech Tune (on Dyno) and it was a HUGE difference (currently 190 HP at the wheels on 92 Octane) and the Torque dip is drastically reduced. The rest of the exhaust remained stock. It's really pretty quiet (unless I'm just starting up or I jump on it) Wished I would have done it sooner it's really night and day difference.

I have an mxp exhaust, injen intake and an oft stage 1 91 oct tune (we don't have 93 where I live). I'm about to buy an OFH off someone but I'm scared about the loudness.

What I'm mostly concerned about is, does it really make a difference in the torque dip?/ does it make a noticeable difference with the stage 2 uel tune combined? I've heard that the difference is so small you won't even notice anything. Is this true? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Also, would an EL hks be just as loud?
All non-stock, catless headers will increase how loud the car is. With a stock exhaust it is still quiet at idle and cruise but noticeably louder when accelerating or on cold start. I don't know where your catback sits on the loudness scale but the Invidia Q300, Perrin 2.5" resonated and the new CSG MXP catback are supposedly not too loud with a header installed.

There is a whole thread on it. Nothing significant changed I believe.

You won't damage anything by not running the stage 2 UEL tune but the car will be MUCH nicer to drive with the stage 2 tune.

I don't believe there is an OTS tune. You will most likely have to read the thread and modify your existing tune.

If it's catted you're good to go (cat in header that is- the secondary cat does not trip any CEL if removed). If it's catless however, Stage 1 tunes do not disable the P0420 CEL and your car will trip the CEL and go into low power mode and disable the cruise control regularly.

Stage 2 tune does disable the P0420

Upgraded headers with a tune is better money spent then the intake you put in. UEL will give you that "subi" sound, EL will give you a bit more peak HP.

Most NA guys will go I(filter replacement)/H/E + tune, slap some E85 and your around 50+ hp. without stickers!

I had to drill out the bolts between the over pipe and mid pipe, then realized I was going to replace all of it.

I would grab some extra bolts, I needed 4 I think.

Wait are you telling me that every gas station in canada doesn't have those? I have never once pumped gas here in Detroit without using one.
