Are headers really worth it?

This question has probably been asked many times but I'd like your opinion on it.

I have an mxp exhaust, injen intake and an oft stage 1 91 oct tune (we don't have 93 where I live). I'm about to buy an OFH off someone but I'm scared about the loudness.

What I'm mostly concerned about is, does it really make a difference in the torque dip?/ does it make a noticeable difference with the stage 2 uel tune combined? I've heard that the difference is so small you won't even notice anything. Is this true? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Also, would an EL hks be just as loud?

Big difference.

.... yes. Ffs read a header thread.

by itself its negligible, with a tune its 100% worth it. Even a shitty ebay header.

I know there is a ton of threads but some people say the difference between stage 1 oft and stage 2 uel with the header isn't that big

If you only do one mod, make it a header.

If you decide to do two things, find a good tuner to tune the header.

Headers make a big improvement, but a tune is better imo. Combined works wonders. And stage 2 is catless, stage 1 is catted.

Maybe not, but you have 94 octane.

Yes, a header and a tune makes a noticeable difference on this car. Add an E85 tune to the mix and it's even better. Nothing short of forced induction totally eliminates the torque dip, but an UEL header with E85 tune comes pretty close.

They are more spectacular than just kicking the ball, really rewarding when you score, but the nannies now say they cause long term brain damage.

Petro Canada 94 octane is making soo much cricket sound under the hood. The high pressure fuel pompe do not like it.

I use Shell V-power too and no such noise as Petro-Canada 94.
