That price for coolant is very high, the Toyota version is priced that way. Super blue from the Subi dealership on 50 is less than $25.

Your heating system is part of the overall coolant system as well and if you run low enough on coolant it will blow cold instead of hot. If your radiator is full and the engine temp is now fine but the heater doesn't work then you need to bleed the line for the heater core. The bleed valve is up near the firewall.

I believe there is a 3 yr warranty on most components, transferable.

Eeeee. I'm likely on the cusp then. It's a 13.

I'm bringing it to the dealer now since I have to work and they'll courtesy shuttle me the mile and a half down the road.

Just gonna tell em drain and replace coolant check thermo/water pump/rad. Gonna have em change ze oil while they got it up too.

First time in the two n a half years I've had this car that I've had an issue :/

Alright. So. I see the dealer go to pressure test the radiator and it basically exploded. YAY. problem solved.

Thanks for all the wisdom guys, I appreciate it greatly.

So Toyota of Orlando, God bless em, do a goodwill warranty program.

I brought my car in for a coolant leak July 2015. They didn't think anything was wrong then. So because of that they're going to retro act my warranty since I'm past the 3/36K and cover it.

I've never had a dealer do that. So they're gonna do my fuel system cleaning, brake fluids, oil change, and take care of my radiator issue for 400.

so you're still paying money even though they say they will cover it under "warranty"? as I was reading through your post I thought to myself, "oh wow, this is a nice dealership" then at the very end it turned out to be a typical dealership that is taking your money. lol. but as long as you're content with it then everything is fine

Well yeah. But they were quoting me double what I'm paying for parts and labor on just the radiator. With them catching me up on routine maintenance (fuel system brake fluid) I'm getting it all done for cheaper. Plus they'll wash the car. Something I haven't done in a while. What I'm paying is pennies so it's not too bad
