I just ordered a set of PG-5S from Velox and they said there were only 2 wheels left and they didn't know when they would be making/getting any more in the 17x7 5x100 +42 size. Just as a correction they are +42, not +40.

Also another member has the VX-6R and when weighed on his scale they were 15.4lbs, as opposed to the 14.5 stated weight. Was his scale broken?

Ah yeah the Velox PG-5s were the lightest obtainable 17s I found for this car. 12.5 pounds. Sadly they don't make very many and they only offered it in 17x7. It would be awesome wheels for anyone in stock class.

Yes. the wheel spec is 42 offset... I kept thinking 40 as we did have a few offsets originally. As to VX-6R weight, 15.4lb might be due to the offset he was running? Because some offsets usually require thicker padding which will contribute to slight variances of a pound or more. This actually applies to most wheel companies out there who advertise weight. A few mm difference along with cap goes a long way in terms of weight and most companies advertise the lightest possible weight from the wheels. In addition, lightweight wheels are usually the result of taking out material while still being able to support load. With certain wheels, load rating is reduced so that more weight can be taken out. However, problem with that is usually wheels usually bend and crack easier due to a lower load rating. So, when purchasing wheels, its always ideal to review load rating as well.

There's a slightly outdated Excel sheet w/ weights, brands, and sizing if someone wants it, I can find it and post it.

Yes I specifically got them to run in stock class. I originally wanted the Tracklites but everyone seems to be out of them. I called Velox directly and found they had 6 wheels left in stock. They only sell the PG5S directly none of the dealers had access to them from what I found.

No brand, no model, just pure racing sexyness

as you may see, they are un-painted, coming right off the lathe

maybe I won't even paint them, just cover with varnish
