You can also get a custom tune from OFT. Its a few rounds of data logging and sending files but it works well.

170WHP Peak
152WTQ Peak

Gained 12-15WHP vs stock car through the entire rev range and peak up to almost 25WHP vs stock. TQ dip is 95% gone with E50 and E20(tuned like 91) its greatly reduced and shifted further in the rev band.

Talking with Zach he was happy with car considering the following:
-Car at the top end was losing about a 1LB of vacuum (could have been caused by Dyno Airflow vs real world)
-Car has stock FP with secondary CAT
-Engine has 83K miles on it
-DI have never been serviced. (he mentioned this could add back 5-10WHP)
-Fairly hot temps (mid 80s to low 90s when we were done)

So all in all compared to the e-tune before power is better but its the smoothness that is much improved. Throttle response also feels better. So with Ace or JDL 4-2-1 dyno tune seems worth it right off the bat if available.

On a Side Note on a dyno jet numbers would between
185-190WHP
162WTQ

Any comparison against the ACE?

Sadly he did not have any onhand to compare. I tried probing him for number and he would not give sadly.

I honestly think CSG does not want a direct comparison between these two headers.

You could be right. Honestly can't go wrong with either imo and JDL is cheaper so...

I suspect the two will perform the same or at least within the noise floor of the data. In which case the question is, why would someone pay an extra ~$1,000 for a similarly performing header which basically requires you to upgrade engine mounts and has a history of cracked welds? That's a good question..

Logic can escape ppl... but just be thankful we have options and JDL produced a really solid Header. Look at the weld quality on this overpipe cause I left it raw.

The fact CSG hasn't released a dyno comparing JDL EL 4-2-1 vs. Ace 350 speaks for itself IMO. They seem to have a dyno comparing every other alternative header. Pretty sure if/when we get an independent dyno this JDL EL will be at least as good as or even better than the ace (maybe with a bit less midrange from what I've eyeballed in the dyno graphs).

So guys I have already my headers ready to mount, and I decided to order an OFT. But it will take time to be delivered to Europe...

So I´m wondering if mounting my headers before receiving the OFT would be any perjudicial to the engine... I have a holidays trip in between (a bit less than 1k miles), and I´m looking forward to mount it already What do you think?

It is not advisable to install headers without a tune. May be okay, may be not. I wouldn't take that risk.

Ordered the motor mounts about 8 days ago and hadn't heard anything, so I started to get nervous.

But I woke up to a tracking number today. Supposed to arrive Friday, so that'd put me at the 11'ish day mark.

Thanks for the link.

I got the STi motor and transmission mounts installed last week. The JDL overpipe is still making contact with the front subframe on the passenger side. The banging is not as loud, but it is definitely still happening.

Here is the point where it is making contact:

I am not sure what to try next. It seems no one else with this header and overpipe has encountered this issue. Maybe I could try stiffer exhaust hangers? I am not sure if this would help though, there is very little clearance between the overpipe and the subframe.

Would you guys contact JDL? I am concerned I may have either a header or overpipe with defective fitment.
