I'm assuming that the O2 rescaling, MAF scaling, load limits, DI range, and the utility tweaks are safe considering they don't have specific tables that rely on 98RON? and am I understanding correctly that timing shouldn't have to be touched on the OTS ROM for 91AKI unless I am knocking? I just want to make sure that I have my facts correct before logging and making changes.
Yep pretty much keep your existing timing and maf scale. Or keep your entire tune for starters and do plenty on logging on it first.

I'm having a hard time opening the XML file for editing. I added the correct B00D XML to the definitions and I'm about to open the OFT stage 2 .bin file but when i go to open the B00d.xml file, it keeps saying the definitions were not found..

This is the only step I'm struggling with. any suggestions?

Yes I clicked apply and save. I'll try adding the others as well when I get home. Any other ideas?

There's nothing wrong with shiv's roms. Don't know about the OFT defs. I'm using mine.

846,539 bytes, dated 11 ‎August ‎2015

Do you only have one B00D def in the list?
Are you opening OFT 2.06x/2.07x rom files?

Changes:
- Smoothed and consolidated MAF scales
- Throttle tip in changes
- Tweaked BPB timing
- Adjusted and consolidated idle speeds
- Adjusted load limits under 3000 rpm.

I have the OFT .bin opened. no problems.

You can see i have the B00D.xml added in definitions but when i go to open image and open the b00d.xml for editing, keep getting the definitions not found pop up.

Delete all of your definitions, apply and save. Quit Romraider and reopen, and add ONLY the B00D.xml. Then try opening B00D bin.

Wait you realize you don't need to open an XML file in Romraider to edit right? You only need the XML in the definitions, and you open and edit the BIN file.

As above, the xml is only the definition. The .bin or .hex are the tune files.

Ok. I'm not sure what i was thinking before.

Started from scratch. Added OFT defs and the A01 def.

Opened my B00d.bin file and the v87 98oct rich.bin

now its just a process of comparing the tables and copying and pasting table values correct?

Correct. Now when using the OFT definitions, you won't see certain tables that you would see in Wayno's definitions, as his definitions have some tables added.

No, you're not modifying any structure of the rom. The definitions simply contain pointers to memory locations already in the rom and how to interpret the data.
