They've said throughout the thread that they'll provide details as they become available and when they're done testing.

They've confirmed that any aftermarket header would work...including their own.

Here, http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30737, they show about 737 engine hp if you scale the 164hp baseline at about 22% drive train loss. I certainly prefer dynos run from steady idle (unspooled turbo) to redline, not from over 3000 after revving the engine to spool up. My understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that helps them kick the turbo in at a lower rpm to get a nicer looking curve at the bottom.

That's the 604hp thread. And I have NEVER seen a dyno operator that does a pull from idle. All dyno operators start at around 3k rpms that I have seen. Starting at 3k rpms have nothing to do with there being or not being a turbo. Even N/A they do a pull from 3k rpms. The pull is not in 1st gear remember, it's in the gear closest 1:1 ratio. Which is most the time 4th gear in most cars. You not going to do an idle pull in 4th gear. |

Here is an example of a dyno from 1000rpm. http://www.bmw-post.com/2012/10/16/b...iesel-on-dyno/ Seems like useful info to me. For day to day driving, I spend most of my time between 1000 and 4000rpm, but mostly around 2000. I'd really want to know if a twin screw or turbo was giving any boost then. Certainly the factory turbos in many cars do. |

That was a dyno from Germany, so don't know what their specifics are. I'm in the states. Be it a low rpm, it's not idle still and he went up gears before doing the official pull. |
