Don't know when this all became focused on "stance" anyway? There are plenty of other cars on this thread have nothing to do with stance. (Shit we were arguing over frickn mud flaps at one point)
It would appear the stance guys are just a little more sensitive and ready to defend themselves for a group that should be comfortable with their choice. As has been said before the differences of opinion on cars is not new and will never go away so everybody might as well learn to live with it. Oh, and all you "This forum sucks" and "This is all this forum is good for" Why the fuck do you keep coming back then????? If you want the tech stuff hang out in the tech threads but don't click on a thread with a title like this one then complain about how the forum is useless.

I can agree with this. I didn't mean to just be an ass to you either. I was just asking why you thought what I said was offensive compared to a lot worse thats been said in this thread is all. No hard feelings

NO! We were having a polite discussion about it. No one was offended, no one used foul language and I for one learned something from it (painted OEM mud guards).
If everyone would just calm down and stop taking everything so bloody seriously, this could be a fun thread with some meaningful exchanges of knowledge, wisdom and opinions. Now it's just a shit storm. Where's your dignity, people? |

dude there shouldn't be hard feelings from anyone in here. Also I couldn't tell you were being an ass TBH you are a dude that asked a question and nothing more. All I was saying is that I know alot of dudes in the lowrider community that don't agree with your comparison. Now I'm starting to see that online stance without the crazy camber is still stance.

I have seen many cars on this forum that I love, but would not want to own, because the choices the owner made aren't suitable for me. And I'm sure that they might feel the same about my choices. But, I feel that I benefit from being exposed to both the cars that I like and the ones I don't like. It helps me tweak my choices as to what I do to my car, and what works and what doesn't.
I am encouraged by seeing people tearing into a relatively expensive car and doing mods with little or no knowledge trying to improve or change what Toybarus' engineers designed. When I was doing that I was buying non running or poorly running British cars to learn on. That led to a whole procession of cars often 2 or 3 at a time that I learned my car craft on. But I was doing it on cars that I paid $50-$200 for. And the main cost was the labor that I put in. I made alot of mistakes but learned alot. The biggest problem that I see is that many think that they know it all. I can assure that most do not. Smokey Yunick arguably one of the best and most creative racecar builders was always trying to learn more about his craft. That's what made him great. Once you think you know it all you stop learning. Remember, you should learn more from the mistakes than the successes. |
