Thanks Chris Wright at Troncalli Subaru for selling my BRZ and everyone else that orders from him at MSRP, no markups!

Good..hopefully this will help detract some buyers and we can keep the cars exclusive and out of the hands of some radical modifiers!

There is no way I'd have this car if it were over MSRP! Sucks for those buying it for more, but oh well!

Funny the FRS isn't on there, I guess they don't consider mandated dealer installed accessories to be a markup lol

Using %discount from MSRP as the only measure of deal quality is absurd.

Buying a car at MSRP is not a good "deal" in the traditional sense of the word. It is however, a great value for the money. Getting a good deal is nowhere near as important to getting a good value! They explain that pretty well in this article:

"This doesn't mean they are bad cars. Quite the contrary. Most of these vehicles are selling for higher prices because they are such good vehicles. For example, the Subaru BRZ, which has only recently begun arriving at dealerships, and Mazda CX-5, are vehicles on the "no-bargain" list this month, and are among the best new cars we have driven all year.

From a financial standpoint, however, if you're looking for a big discount on your new car, you'll be better off either waiting to buy one of these 10 cars or skipping them altogether. Click through to see which ones we think you should avoid."

On a side note, the A5 and Q5 are on there? We discounted plenty of those cars. Not sure why because they're absolutely gorgeous!! There's only a 6% mark-up on Audi anyway, with no hold-back. Is it too much to ask to turn a 3% profit on a ~$50,000 vehicle?

Subaru Outback at #7? We just discounted a huge chunk off two 2013 Outbacks this week! I guess if you want a deal on one of those, come on down! Maybe I should tell my manager to charge more money next time, lol!

The internet seems to have perpetuated this idea that you have to get your car at cost or you are a no balls pansy that can't negotiate...

Because "at cost" ie Invoice, the dealer is still making hundreds off the sale. So really it's more or less true.

Exactly, invoice isn't what it used to be, it's been getting padded more and more each year with kickback's and dealer incentives.

Invoice is the minimum for a "good deal." Too bad I paid MSRP on my BRZ...but my Mustang I just ordered was a few grand UNDER invoice! They even out.

The problem I have with this statement is, from a financial standpoint, I saved about $10,00 buying an affordable rear-wheel drive sports car.

I said at cost, not invoice. This actually the first forum I've seen where there is not a plethora of people claiming to have purchased at $abcxyz below invoice.
