Got right to work and got her out yesterday.

Going to look into what I need to keep in the engine bay and what I can move out. Want it as clean as possible.

I call about my transmission later today, depending on how that goes, I plan on ordering the mounts from Vorshlag anyway and hoping they can get them here quick.

Also trying to figure out what to do with my hood. Had a piece of the block shoot up and put a pretty bad dent from the underside in the hood. Extremely noticeable and it cracked the paint. Looking for a used hood, but they all seem to be damaged to some degree.

Man I have my hood in my garage in like new condition. Shame we're not local.

More Transmission issues... Vorshlag told me they had no info for me because they hadn't heard from their supplier. So I called their supplier and He said they would figure it out and let me know, and asked me to call back today. I called him and he said he couldn't get a hold of Vorshlag. So waiting to hear back from him to see if he can get a hold of them.

Edit: Heard back from Dederichs, Vorshlag pulled my ordered out and my transmission should get shipped out end of this week or beginning of next. Sucks I had to do the leg work to get this going, but just glad it's finally getting shipped. Going to call Vorshlag Friday and see what kind of wait time are on the Mounts and driveshaft. Then decide between them and CX Racing.

Back on the search for headers. After more research, the small tubing size of the CX Racing isn't going to do it for me. They suggest 1 7/8 on LS3s in general, not to mention one with Heads/Cam/Stroker. So Thinking about going with Hooker Shorty Headers. Modifying it to make it 3" Marge instead of 2.5":

If anyone else has suggestions, please let me know.

You think I would have any issues cutting that merge to weld on 3" piping? I can't see why, but doesn't hurt to get more opinions. Or do I deal with 2.5 Collectors?

[ame]http://youtu.be/_PVXvHkr-Vs[/ame]

Kind of comes down to 1 5/8" Primaries to 3" Merge Vs. 1 7/8 Primaries to 2.5" Merge, what is going to hurt power the most.

Edit: Couple others that I am looking at. These are 1 3/4" with 3" Merge

After more thinking it through and research. I am just going to order the full CX Racing kit, and the 1 7/8 Hooker header. I'll run the CX Racing header to get the swap running, then make the Hooker header work when I get them (there is a decently long wait for the hooker). I am just not sure I am ready to trust Vorshlags time lines. Interested to see what they say about the Slave/TOB when I ask about it when the transmission ships.

Going for the largest Primary possible. Unfortunately getting a shorty header with 1 7/8 is very uncommon for obvious reasons. 1 3/4 w/ 3" is definitely doable, but would prefer 1 7/8.
