The new clutch came with a new TOB. Also, they have put everything they have changed in a package to look at. The plate was on its way out.
All bearing and stuff been changed with brand spanking new ones.

hmmmm..........well, I hope it's not the transmission input shaft bearing .....

That would require major surgery.

I don't think pushing in the clutch would effect this though.

Why wouldn't it .... ??

If you push the clutch in ..... the engine is disconnected from the transmission, thus the input shaft would quit turning, thus a bad bearing wouldn't make any noise.

Unless, I've got it backwards ......

I have this noise too. I thought it's normal. I got the throw-out bearing replaced for another reason, and that didn't get rid of this noise.

Sounds like it is. Kinda...low revs, around 600 rpm? When cold?

Mine doesn't happen at 600. It's more like 650-700, so it only makes this noise when the A/C compressor is running. After everything is completely warmed up, the noise goes away.

Ah I see, I've been having the cold morning chatter as well. But this only occurred after I had changed the stock fluid to Motul.

Have you taken it to the dealer? Or have it checked by anyone?

Late to the party. There is always some backlash clatter in the gearbox at low rpm, especially for the light flywheel crowd.

I have heard a couple recordings of what sounds like an actual knock as the gearsets rotate in neutral. I don't know what that is but if it wasn't there before and is there now, something in the gearbox changed.

Can you post up a clip?

No, I thought this is a normal noise, so I haven't taken it to the dealer. I'm pretty sure it was making this noise since it was brand new. It just got louder after the transmission fluid was changed, but it happens to other people too. So, I'm thinking it's normal and something I don't need to worry about.
