@wootwoot Hows that lightweight FW treating you while being boosted? Ive got one laying around and would love to throw it in but am told it turns the idle to shit.

Your tuner can take care of that.

My south bend stage 1 disc is not very pleasurable for street driving. Clutch feel is like stock, not any stiffer. Engagement point is same as stock. But, I get bad shudder/vibration on release if I have to slip it any in stop/go traffic. This is the biggest kicker to this clutch setup, since I purchased it for DD duty, and specifically chose the "Daily" variant for OEM like engagement.

Damn, Why didn't I know you stock these clutches @CSG Mike? I would have bought from you and saved a few bucks too.

Whats the difference between ACT SB7 and SB8? All the specs look the same, ones like 2 lbs lighter. Please help!

That's the only difference, the flywheel.

We're using the 11.8lb flywheel based kit and the clutch is quite nice.

I'm using the Streetlite flywheel with my ACT clutch, love it.

The ACT w/ the HD PP held up to 452whp/350wtq on the dyno today. This clutch should be good for the vast majority of us.

WHOOOOOOA. I just slipped the hell out of my new ACT HDSS. I was just farting around on industrial roads today. Pulled hard through second gear. Then when I hit third gear, the tach just spiked to 7400rpm as I hit full boost almost immediately. Tons of stinky smoke and not from the tires at all.

I need to dyno my car to see what kind of numbers I am actually making. Stock block, 6758 EFR, e85, 12psi. I installed this HDSS about 10 days ago and been babying it. I feel like I did the break in period correct and am well beyond the 500 mile mark. What gives? I thought this clutch was rated at 270wtq, I shouldn't be anywhere close to that.

Thoughts?

To be honest my clutch wasn't right until after 1000 miles. The first 100 was fun. But I'm using the XTSS rated for much more but still disc not puck.

@GsxrMe Hows the pedal feel and engagement on that XTSS? The pedal feel on my HDSS is maybe 30% stiffer than stock and the engagement is predicable albeit I need a few hundred more RPM to get a smooth takeoff.
