dnieves explaines that above.

However, my 2013 has a cam plate and it hasn't leaked a drop in 2 years and 15,000 miles.

"If it ain't broke ... don't fix it" may apply here ......

A FRS from a Cayman S... i'd consider a STI trade over a FRS. Unless, you've already test drove the FRS and love it entirely! Its a beautiful car and well balanced but if you are used to speed... you shall find none here, unless you mod.

Personally, I'd try to get a used STI and a FRS. Probably 20k for a newish STi and 17-20k for a used newish FRS. I don't think 2016 is really worth the buy vs 2014-2015 model.

Just my thoughts.

Ended up making a deal on a 2015 Halo this morning. Thanks for everyones insight. Looking forward to reading up and learning more about this neat little car.

Feel free to point me in the right direction for the common newbie questions and save me the flames.

Appreciate the link to the cam plate, I'll keep my eye on that to make sure no leaks appear.

I've looked everywhere under the hood.... where is the turbo at?:-)

Congrats. You will not regret (we hope)
Easy as pie to not get flamed. Research first, formulate your questions and ask in the right spot.
It means the difference between:
Exhaust sub forum- I am going to use my car as a DD with track days 4 or 5 times a year and I was thinking about the XXX header set up with YYY exhaust. Is there anything I need to watch for?
And
General section - Yo what is the loudest exhaust that isn't to loud but just loud enough for what I want that costs less that $50 and gives me 500HP.

Congrats! I had an 09 Boxster S and it was a great car. The FR-S is endearing in its own way as well. Welcome to the forum btw.

Thanks for the welcome. Mine was an 09 as well, it was a bittersweet parting, but just no longer practical. I feel like I made a good choice and am looking forward to learning where the limits are with the FRS .

many of us have build threads, with videos, and you can see what you like also. That is, should you decide you need more power.

I completely understand not wanting to modify a new car, but please believe me when I say that this is absolutely worth it for the improvement in driving

Any pics of this car you bought? I think you made an awesome choice and welcome! I'd wait to turn traction control fully off until you feel comfortable doing so. Seeing you coming from a Porsche that shouldn't be long away :P There also may be or not a shifter rattle after a few thousand miles. My '13 FR-S had it but not my '15. Not sure if this has been remedied on newer model years. The only way I know of to keep dealer from washing is preorder the car and specify no wash upon delivery. Good luck on keeping the car stock!
