Leather seat covers will help A LOT.

I'm 32yrs, 6' and 160lbs. It wasn't exactly a struggle before but the grippy seat upholstery and tall bolsters certainly didn't help. Easier done than said now.

OP, I do a little spin everytime I get out of my car. Try that and see how it makes you feel. :P

That's the ticket.
Swing your legs out, use your arms to brace against the door, and gracefully catapult yourself out of the vehicle (aim for the bushes).

My wife has issues getting out though - the door just doesn't stay open (it tends to close itself) and she's on the petite side, so the door weighs as much as she does...

......... yes, I can identify with that ......

When I go up to the grocery store ...... the lead cashier sees me driving up ..... she signals all the girls .... that I have arrived. They stand there, waiting for the "old man" to exit his FR-S ...... and watch and laugh at me as I "fall" out of my car .......

My Army training usually kicks in, so I tuck my shoulder and do a PLF (Parachute Landing Fall - for you non-military types). When I recover, I grab for a cart in the parking lot ...... and proceed on to the store entrance ...... as if nothing happened.

I am 72 years old and yes, I'm out of shape ……

I have pulled a couple of sweet PLFs getting out of the wife's SUV lately. I have no issue getting in and of my low one but I tend to forget I am sitting almost 2 feet higher in hers. She laughs her ass off at me.

That low CoG struggle. I've had the same issue in the past. Now I put one hand on the door sill and arm on steering wheel after a 90 degree pivot. Seems to be a good approach.

The trick I found is to fall into the seats. Much easier. When you're getting out. Turn, and then fall back out. But I'm also 26, and 5'4 so... yeah. Hahahahahaha

That's exactly what I do to get out! Or fall forward haha.
