Perhaps the better question you want answered is "what is the interior room available for aftermarket seats?" As it stands, measuring the stock seats won't really tell you how much room there is to fit aftermarket seats unless you also measure clearances to the door panels.

1.) Helmet yes. I only have fractions of an inch left for headroom after a significant stock seat recline. I need to pick up at least 1.5" to fit a helmet and not be completely wedged against the ceiling.

2.) Reclinable. 2 reasons - headroom and I will spend much more time on street than track; this will not be a dedicated track car. I will probably ditch the sliders and mount directly to the floor to gain a little more space with something like a Planted bottom mount bracket. Also looking for as little bulk in seating height as possible - 2.5" from the floor is about the best I've seen.

3.) 6' 5" 245 lbs. ~22" (across) shoulders, ~20" (across) at the point of my hips; about ~16" mid-back, depending on where I measure, more if I count my lats. 38" (circumference) waist. So I'm reasonably certain the Corbeau seats like the A4 wide will fit me; perhaps the Evo. as well based on their description, but unsure if they will fit in the vehicle, A4 wide particularly, which is one of the largest dimensional seats I've found that may still fit.

Your second point is fair. There's very little clearance between the stock seats and the C(?) pillar in the shoulder area though, so it's probably the limiting factor.

I'm trying to determine if I can fit a seat that will fit me in the car, and it was recommended by Corbeau to measure the stock seats as a point of reference.

Probably do, but show me something bigger that's as fun to drive that's in the same price range as a twin and I'll go buy it. The Mustang, WRX, etc., I've driven them all recently. I don't fit in Miatas.

Used Cayman or maybe a used C6 are about the only things, to me that come to mind, but also come with their own issues with being used ~6+ year old sports cars.

hmmmmm........good point.

Maybe something with adjustable bolsters would "fit" you .... ??

https://www.recaro-automotive.com/us...rgomed-es.html

Yes, it should fit. They say the seat is 534 mm at the width of the bottom portion; the "space" for a seat in the FR-S is 584 mm (23").

Find the sweet spot and then bolt that puppy straight onto the floor ....

Yep, $3,500 is a bit pricey, however it's less expensive (total cost) than getting a bigger car.

Look at as a 20 year investiment (you can always take it out and put it into another car).

That would be $175 per year or $.50 a day ...... what is your comfort worth ..... ??

NO, I ain't sellen em ......

There are used s2000's floating out there with only 1 or 2 owners that haven't been beaten to hell by kids who love to bounce off the rev limiter (insert VTEC joke here). But with that comes with a decent price tag.

But I'd go with what humfrz said and get the seats he posted.
