I dont think that works when half the car has knee pads and the other half doesn't lol.

He states the passenger side has it and the driver side doesn't lol.

@ OP I'd check the VIN to see if the door matches the car. They could of had an accident on the door and replaced the entire door with another car instead of repairing the original door.

Is it covered by warranty? haha Was the car a second hand user? Maybe they did a shitty way of replacing it from an accident?

Sorry for the late reply guys.

I got it new at the dealership.
Didn't check the car thru carefully, obviously.

I checked the VIN and it matches the rest of the car.

This is not a big deal to me.
Would love to find out what happened, but I guess I probably will never know. haha.
Thanks for the input, y'all!

If bought new it should have it. See the dealer and get it installed. Must have been a really early one or they grabbed a BRZ panel since they didn't have then yet.

I've seen a post before on the web where a new Golf GTI had GTI headrest on one side, and R32 headrest on the other.

So how about the center console, does it have knee pads on both sides?

My 2014 came with pads over both of the speakers on each door. The sides of the center console also came with knee pads. Both have red stitching as well.

Someone else on here got a brand new FRS with a WRX shift knob on it (which has the R for reverse on the wrong side lol)

It could also be a case of a repair being done during shipment (at port) or the dealer making a repair when the car is still technically new, and not using the right part.

I'm pretty sure someone figured out that it was also different than the WRX knob. Somehow a gt-86 knob came out that way.

Nah, it was this same exact knob. Didn't have the red stitching or anything.

Another 14' here with pads and red stitching.

Definitely something different going on with yours.
