I also use the 3M adhesive removal spray - it works for sap, etc, too, and it's paint-safe; they should stock it at Autozone if you're local to that.
I've heard some bad stories about goo gone harming paint, or leaving a stain (in particular on lighter-colored cars), so I stay away from it personally. I used the 3M adhesive removal spray when I debadged, and it worked great - it's the same product my detailer uses for these situations, and I trust his experience, and judgment on products when it comes to them being paint-safe. If you do try the 3M spray, just spray some directly onto the area, and let it sit for just a moment, I also spray some onto the MF cloth that I use to wipe it, and you will need to apply a good amount of elbow grease to get it off. |
