The start button in combo with the "caress to open"-feature adds a lot of charme to the car. I was always wondering why this didn't come as standard in all markets worldwide.

That was one of the reasons why I hated my 12 Lancer GT so much (there were many others). The 08 had the "caress to open" and it worked great and I loved it. The 12 went back to pushing a button. Not a big deal but it felt like Mitsu said "Ohhhh you guys like that feature do you. Well screw you it cost to much". They should never go backwards in tech (that works) still charge you the same amount and expect people to like it.

I just hate that I have to look at my key every time to know which button to push so I don't set off the panic instead of opening the trunk. The Industrial Design could be much better.

Dude needs to clean that nasty thing, and I'd rather have a key.

ETA: Dual zone climate control in a phone booth still makes me laugh. How much was that?

One side has more buttons than the other, and a metal piece that sticks out of one side. It's not that hard to figure out if I can do it.

Touch to unlock, touch to lock, push to start. I love it. My key never even leaves my pocket.

Be nice. I have to rake the leaves out of mine eventually.

Haha... exactly, but my wife is really sweet to me. She brings a blanket on road trips. I wonder, even if the two sides of the phone booth are fighting each other, there still might be something to that.

My mistake, I have a base with a physical key. I think it's crappy too so I incorrectly assumed that was included in the discussion.

I can't seem to memorize, if the key is forward the button is on the left... or is it the right. Where's my jacket.

Lock - Pointy end with 2 brail like dots
Unlock - Flat end and smooth
Don't touch side buttons unless looking
